Abstract

This article seeks to show the difference between the paradigms that have guided feminism, from the search for equality to the quest for freedom. Feminism helped create greater degrees of recognition and tolerance by generating new symbolic articulations throughout the 20th century and during the 21st century. It is not a univocal path. Feminisms have moved in different paradigms in order to be able to increase the areas of social recognition. In this article, the author attempts to envisage certain steps to make this possible, in a context where the political plays out between the dislocation and configuration of new political identities, as well as in the reconfiguration of the public realm.
