Hacia una nueva metafísica del género

Resumen
El presente texto elabora una propuesta novedosa en torno a qué es el género. Para ello, realiza una crítica a diversos modelos metafísicos en torno a este que han ido ganando influencia al interior de la filosofía feminista anglosajona. De manera sucinta, se evalúan estos modelos a la luz de dos controversias que hoy atraviesan los feminismos: A) ¿debe el feminismo ser abolicionista de género?, y B) ¿reifica la identidad de género a los roles de género? La hipótesis de este texto consiste en señalar que los sesgos funcionalistas de los modelos criticados los llevan a prejuzgar estas cuestiones ignorando en el proceso otros aspectos asociados al género. Para evitar esta desafortunada consecuencia, este texto concluye retomando elementos de diversas filosofías feministas que permiten una concepción más compleja de qué es el género.
